With a global increase in sports rights as well as a rise in subscriptions – DAZN required an on-screen package that was less start-up and more broadcast heavyweight.

To introduce further consistency across all of DAZN’s coverage, heighten the viewing experience and set DAZN apart from its competitors – in 2022, with the football season looming, a complete overhaul of the current OSP began.

Brand elements were derived from the core identity, including chevrons, background textures and 3D objects.

Although the football season was the catalyst, the package would need to flex across multiple sports, with a primary focus on boxing and motorsports for 2023.

The updated on-screen package would require a level of flexibility across a variety of sports – with the football toolkit in its build stage the focus shifted onto boxing and motorsports.

Although the foundations were set, the presentation would need to adapt to the specific sports requirements.
